    Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for a full‑time, on‑site position in Clifton, NJ. The role involves handling diverse legal matters, including research, drafting, and client interaction, while working closely with senior attorneys to contribute to case preparation and client outcomes.Duties Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and contracts.Review and analyze case files and legal documents.Meet with clients and provide legal advice under supervision.Prepare case strategies and communicate updates to clients and colleagues.Negotiate settlements and attend court appearances, hearings, and depositions.Coordinate with opposing counsel and third parties.Maintain organized, accurate documentation in accordance with ethical standards.Requirements Strong foundation in law with the ability to analyze statutes, case law, and regulations.Knowledge of commercial litigation or willingness to develop expertise in this area.Ability to provide clear, practical legal advice while maintaining professional judgment.Proficient in legal research and drafting research memos.Effective negotiation skills for settlement discussions and client advocacy.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.Prior law firm or clerkship experience preferred, especially in litigation or employment‑related matters.Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications Admission to practice law in New Jersey or eligibility and intent to obtain NJ bar admission promptly.Skills Strong analytical and research skills.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Benefits Opportunities for professional development and growth.
