A respected and growing legal practice is seeking a Construction Litigation Attorney to join its Brooklyn-based team. The firm represents a diverse client base across the construction industry, including owners, contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, lenders, suppliers, sureties, and manufacturers. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated construction disputes involving residential and commercial projects while collaborating with attorneys who have deep experience in both construction and real estate matters.

Job Details
Represent clients in all phases of construction-related litigation and dispute resolution
Handle complex construction defect and structural failure claims
Manage commercial and residential construction disputes from inception through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and legal correspondence
Conduct and defend depositions
Participate in mediations, arbitrations, mini-trials, and court proceedings
Advise clients regarding risk management and contractual disputes
Handle architectural and engineering malpractice claims
Represent clients in administrative appeals involving public construction projects
Manage bid protest and injunction matters
Present and defend claims before governmental entities
Collaborate with attorneys on overlapping construction and real estate issues
Provide strategic legal counsel and maintain strong client relationships
Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active admission to the New York State Bar
4+ years of litigation experience, preferably in construction litigation
Experience handling complex commercial disputes
Strong motion practice, deposition, and case management skills
Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload
Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
Experience with arbitration and mediation preferred
Trial experience is highly desirable
Strong client communication and relationship management abilities
