Job Details

Manage a caseload of general liability and insurance defense matters from investigation through resolution, including trucking, premises liability, products liability, and related third-party claims
Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery, including written discovery and dispositive motions
Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and trial as needed
Coordinate with insurance carriers and adjusters on case strategy, status reporting, and reserve/exposure evaluation
Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations and litigation reports for clients and carriers

What We're Looking For

J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
3–5 years of civil litigation experience, ideally with direct general liability or insurance defense exposure
Demonstrated experience with depositions, motion practice, and discovery
Strong legal writing and research skills
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented litigation group
Prior insurance defense firm experience strongly preferred
