Position: Litigation Attorney – Creditors' Rights Location: Hartford, Connecticut Firm: Stillman Law Office Position Summary: The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for managing a caseload of consumer debt collection matters throughout Connecticut. The role includes document review, court appearances, motion practice, and negotiation. This is a hands-on litigation position focused on pre-and post-judgment proceedings. Key Responsibilities: Represent clients in consumer debt collection litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-judgment enforcement Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, and other legal documents Appear at hearings, mediations, and trials as required Review case files, identify legal issues, and develop litigation strategies Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and internal staff Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws including the FDCPA, CFPB regulations, and Connecticut-specific rules Provide guidance and supervision to paralegals and support staff Maintain accurate records and document management in firm systems Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in Connecticut (in good standing) 2+ years of litigation experience preferred; experience in consumer collections, creditors' rights, or related practice areas strongly valued Strong courtroom presence and experience appearing before Connecticut state courts Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail Proficiency with case management software and electronic filing systems Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off and paid holidays Opportunities for professional development and advancement How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit their resume, cover letter, and salary requirementsCompany infoStillman Law OfficeWebsite :
