De Mott, Curtright & Armendáriz, LLP (DMCA) is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing immigration law practice. We welcome applications from both newly licensed attorneys eager to develop their careers and experienced attorneys ready to bring their knowledge, leadership, and advocacy skills to an established firm.For attorneys beginning their careers, DMCA provides hands-on training, mentorship, and the opportunity to learn from experienced immigration practitioners. Whether you are building your foundation or taking the next step in an established legal career, DMCA offers an environment where your work matters, your experience is valued, and your career can continue to grow.What You'll DoManage a diverse caseload of immigration matters from consultation through resolution.Develop legal strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances.Handle a diverse range of immigration matters, including removal defense, family-based immigration, and proceedings before USCIS and EOIR.Draft motions, briefs, responses to Requests for Evidence and Notices of Intent to Deny, and other legal filings.Prepare clients for USCIS interviews, immigration court hearings, and other proceedings.Represent and advocate for clients before immigration agencies and courts, as appropriate.Conduct legal research and remain current on developments in immigration law.Collaborate closely with attorneys, legal assistants, and client relations professionals.Maintain organized case files and detailed case notes using the firm's case management systems.Provide clients with clear communication, thoughtful guidance, and dedicated advocacy throughout their cases.Mentor and support less-experienced team members when appropriate.QualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Active bar license in any U.S. jurisdiction.Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and advocacy skills.Excellent organizational and case-management abilities.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Immigration law experience is preferred, particularly in removal defense; however, newly licensed attorneys with a demonstrated interest in immigration law are encouraged to apply.Compensation and level of responsibility will be based on experience.Why Join DMCA?Meaningful WorkEvery case represents a person, a family, or a future.
