Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their Atlanta Georgia Insurance Coverage practice. As an Associate Attorney, you will work closely with their experienced attorneys to analyze and litigate complex insurance coverage issues. You will be responsible for researching and drafting memoranda, motions, and other documents related to insurance coverage disputes. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in insurance coverage law.
Primary Job Duties:
- File review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action
- Advising clients through the claim investigation process, including the retention of consultants, conducting Examinations Under Oath, and opining on coverage.
- Extensive legal research and drafting of substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
- Regularly representing clients in court, at arbitrations, mediations, and in depositions
- Drafting and responding to discovery requests
- Expert witness retention and collaboration
- Trial preparation and attendance
- Collaborate closely with partners, clients, and stakeholders to deliver strategic and practical legal advice
- Manage deadlines and assignments with a high level of ownership and independence

Requirements:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in state posted (required); additional bar admissions a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in practice group
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Experience with court proceedings, depositions, and mediations/ADR
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Professional demeanor with strong client-relations and communication skills
- Must be responsive and organized, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
