Job Description Associate Attorney – Louisiana Foreclosure & Title Review (Remote / Hybrid Optional) Position Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Associate Attorney to support Louisiana foreclosure and executory process matters in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys analytical, transactional, and document-focused legal work rather than courtroom-heavy litigation.

The attorney will primarily handle foreclosure-related document review, title analysis, legal correspondence, and client communications while ensuring compliance with Louisiana judicial foreclosure requirements. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines efficiently in a remote work setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney who prefers focused legal review and problem-solving over contentious litigation and discovery practice.

Key Responsibilities Foreclosure & Executory Process Work
  • Review foreclosure pleadings, motions, notices, and legal filings prior to submission to courts, clerks, and sheriffs.
  • Handle Louisiana executory process matters and ensure procedural compliance.
  • Analyze and respond to disputes, borrower correspondence, and client inquiries.
  • Ensure all filings comply with state and federal legal requirements.
Title & Curative Review
  • Review title reports, abstracts, and ownership documentation.
  • Identify title defects, lien issues, and interested-party concerns.
  • Draft and review curative documents, cancellations, and related title instruments.
  • Ensure clear and marketable title delivery for foreclosure transactions.
  • Review and verify Mennonite notice requirements and interested-party notifications prior to sale activity.
Document & Compliance Review
  • Conduct extensive document review with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ensure confidential and personal identifying information is properly handled and excluded from filings where required.
  • Maintain quality control standards on legal documentation and correspondence.
  • Work closely with internal staff, title teams, and operational departments to ensure timely file movement.
Client Communication & Workflow Management
  • Respond promptly to client requests, deadlines, and escalations.
  • Manage an assigned legal work queue and prioritize urgent matters effectively.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, support staff, and operations teams in a remote environment.
  • Participate in ongoing process improvement and workflow management initiatives.

Qualifications Required
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Louisiana (or ability to become licensed promptly if applicable).
  • Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Comfortable handling repetitive, high-volume legal review work with consistency and focus.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and responsiveness in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred
  • Experience with foreclosure, mortgage default, creditors’ rights, title, real estate, or transactional law.
  • Familiarity with Louisiana executory process procedures.
  • Experience reviewing title reports and curative matters.
  • Background in document-intensive legal practice areas.
  • Experience working in a high-volume legal operation.
  • Candidates with 1–3 years of experience are encouraged to apply, though all qualified candidates will be considered.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is:
  • Detail-oriented and highly conscientious.
  • Comfortable performing focused legal review work for extended periods.
  • Responsive and deadline-driven.
  • Interested in transactional and analytical legal work rather than litigation-heavy practice.
  • Able to learn quickly and adapt to industry-specific procedures.
  • Professional, reliable, and engaged during interviews and client interactions.
  • Interested in long-term growth within a stable legal practice area.

Candidates who thrive in structured, process-oriented environments and enjoy problem-solving through legal analysis will perform well in this role.

Work Environment
  • Fully remote position available anywhere within Louisiana.
  • Hybrid/in-office option available for candidates located near Monroe, Louisiana.
  • Standard work hours are expected to occur between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM local time, with flexibility within that window.
  • Team collaboration and attorney accessibility during standard business hours are important for training and workflow support.
