\nAbout the Role
\nWe are looking for associate attorneys who are interested in practicing law in our our litigation and investigations practice. At Eldridge Brooks, we represent a wide range of businesses and individuals in state and federal litigation that is of critical importance. Our clients range from Fortune 500 companies to privately-held businesses and individuals. Some interest in or desire to participate as a co-lead counsel in courtroom proceedings is required. The successful candidate would ideally have 3+ years of experience practicing law, but we are open to a range of backgrounds and experiences. We believe our practice involves representation of excellent clients as well as sophisticated and important legal work, and we’re looking for the right people to join our team.
\nResponsibilities
\n• Handle litigation matters from initial filing through resolution
\n• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, briefs, and correspondence
\n• Conduct legal research and case analysis
\n• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances
\n• Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy and updates
\n• Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial proceedings
\n• Collaborate with attorneys and staff on case management and litigation strategy
\nQualifications
\n• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
\n• Licensed to practice law in Arkansas, or ability to obtain Arkansas licensure
\n• Strong written and verbal communication skills
\n• Excellent analytical and organizational abilities
\n• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple active matters
\n• Professionalism, initiative, and attention to detail
\nPreferred Experience
\n• Prior litigation experience in a law firm setting
\n• Experience with civil litigation, discovery, motion practice, and client communication
\n• Courtroom or hearing experience preferred, but not required
