This attorney will defend healthcare providers and professionals in civil litigation matters and assist clients with representation before licensing boards and regulatory bodies.The ideal candidate will have experience handling civil litigation matters, preferably involving medical malpractice, professional liability, healthcare defense, or related insurance defense work. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced litigators, participate in case strategy, develop client relationships, and take on increasing responsibility within a growing practice.Responsibilities:Represent healthcare providers in medical malpractice and professional liability mattersManage all aspects of civil litigation from case evaluation through resolutionAssist with discovery, depositions, motions, hearings, and trial preparationDevelop litigation strategies in partnership with senior attorneysCommunicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurersPrepare legal briefs, pleadings, motions, and correspondenceRepresent clients in matters involving professional licensing boards and administrative proceedingsConduct legal research and analyze complex legal issuesSupport business development and client relationship initiativesQualifications:Active member in good standing of the North Carolina Bar3+ years of civil litigation experience preferredExperience in medical malpractice, professional liability, healthcare defense, or insurance defense preferredStrong written and verbal advocacy skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesJobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
