Our client's regional growing Creditors Rights law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to manage all legal processes from inception through post judgment remedies. The successful candidate will provide the highest quality legal representation, treat all customers with fairness and respect and have the ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-volume environment. Location:
This position is remote in Northern Virginia, Fairfax County area.
Must have ACTIVE VA license.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrates exceptional legal research, writing and oral communication skills.
Handles high volume caseload and provides expert analysis and advice on legal and regulatory risks.
Negotiates with opposing counsel to achieve final resolution of cases.
Willing to travel to various courts within the state of Virginia, if needed, as legal representation in various legal proceeds and to attend court hearings.
Works with the Managing Attorney to report all activity and results.
Requirements
0-3 years experience in bankruptcy/collection or civil law litigation, attending court proceedings and associated regulations.
J.D. from accredited law school with active license to practice law in VA. A license to practice law in other states in our footprint (GA, SC, TN, FL, VA, MD, MI, OH) or UBE passage is a plus but not mandatory.
Skilled in the ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations.
