Associate Attorney

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its San Francisco office. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven attorney to work on sophisticated matters, gain meaningful client exposure, and grow within a collaborative, high-performing legal team.

Position Overview

The Associate Attorney will support partners and senior attorneys on a variety of complex matters. Responsibilities will be tailored to the associate's experience level and practice focus, offering hands-on experience and strong mentorship in a collegial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent and advise clients across a range of legal matters
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Assist with case strategy and analysis
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances, as appropriate
  • Manage multiple matters efficiently while meeting deadlines
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver high-quality client service

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
  • 2-6 years of relevant legal experience (practice-area experience a plus)
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong commitment to client service and professional excellence
