MTSA handles a wide range of matters, including high-conflict custody disputes, complex property division, stock options and business valuation issues, support determinations, and domestic violence restraining orders.Role Description The Associate Attorney will support and manage a varied caseload in family law and related civil litigation matters. This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Jose, CA. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence, and preparing declarations and supporting documents for hearings and trials. The attorney will appear in court for status conferences, motion hearings, and trials, and will participate in mediations and settlement conferences. The role also involves client meetings, fact investigation, negotiation of settlements in areas such as custody, support, and property division, and collaboration with partners, associates, staff, and outside experts to deliver high-quality, client-centered representation.QualificationsStrong foundation in Law, with demonstrated experience or interest in family law.Ability to provide clear, practical legal advice to clients, including explaining options, risks, and likely outcomes in an accessible manner.Proficient in legal Research, including case law, statutes, court rules, and secondary sources, and able to apply findings to complex fact patterns.Effective negotiation skills in settlement discussions, mediations, and informal conferences, with a focus on client interests and durable resolutions.Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including courtroom presentation and persuasive legal writing.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, cases, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to empathetic, client-focused service and maintaining professionalism in emotionally charged situations.Experience with family law practice in California (e.g., custody, support, property division)125 billable hours per month, competitive salary and full benefits.#J-18808-Ljbffr
