Job Details

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in all phases of class action and single-plaintiff employment litigation, from intake through trial
  • Prepare position statements and evaluate administrative charges
  • Handle discovery, depositions, and motion drafting
  • Prepare cases for arbitration and trial, including supporting mediation preparation
  • Research federal, state, and local employment laws and develop strategic recommendations for avoiding and resolving disputes
  • Counsel HR professionals and business executives on employment law compliance (depending on experience level)
  • Draft employment agreements and related documentation (depending on experience level)

Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school, active Washington State Bar license (or eligibility to waive in)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience, up to 5, in Labor & Employment Litigation
  • Experience in class action defense and/or single-plaintiff employment matters
  • Strong background in administrative charge work, including EEOC and state agency proceedings
  • Familiarity with federal and state employment laws including Title VII, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and applicable Washington state statutes
  • Proven ability to draft clear, persuasive legal writing including motions, briefs, and position statements
  • Excellent research skills and strong academic credentials
  • Interest in public speaking and client-facing work
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
