We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Permanent Associate Attorney to join our fast-paced, thriving legal firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and civil litigation, with a proven track record of providing sound legal advice and ensuring legal compliance. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal industry, with a focus on litigation. If you are a motivated self-starter with exceptional analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Associate Attorney, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Managing all phases of litigation from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
2. Providing sound, practical legal advice to clients on a variety of legal matters.
3. Ensuring legal compliance in all areas of operation and understand the implications of new laws and regulations.
4. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
5. Representing clients in court or before government agencies, present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation.
6. Selecting jurors, arguing motions, meeting with judges, and questioning witnesses during the course of a trial.
7. Conducting legal research and analysis, and preparing legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, and appeals.
8. Developing and managing relationships with clients, including conducting client meetings and communications regarding case management and strategy.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney, with a strong focus on litigation.
3. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
4. Proven experience in civil litigation, providing legal advice, and ensuring legal compliance.
5. Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex legal concepts to both legal and non-legal professionals.
7. Strong negotiation skills, with a proven ability to resolve complex legal disputes.
8. Excellent organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
9. Strong ethical and professional standards.
10. A demonstrated commitment to client service and a passion for achieving positive client outcomes.
