If you have excellent research and writing skills, can easily use today's technology and communicate effectively across all levels, we would love to connect!Job ResponsibilitiesConduct legal research, review documents, provide legal opinions, and prepare memorandaProvide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of actionPrepare, review, and revise agreements, covenants, amendments, resolutions and other legal documentsMonitor and report on matters affecting clientsDraft letters and legal pleadings, motions, briefsWork closely and collaborate with firm attorneys and clients in team problem solving, litigation strategy, project management and trial workParticipate in the full range of tasks involved in litigation, including factual investigation, case management, legal research and analysis, discovery, briefing, and oral advocacyWilling to learn and adapt to new practices and procedures as the firm continues to growAssist with general requestsQualificationsCandidates must have Florida Bar license in good standingWork independentlyMust be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervisionWell-versed in legal research software (Westlaw)Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 2 yearsTwo years of experience representing clients in a law firm with billable hoursYou must be hungry to do a great job, personable, and willing to take direct feedback intended to make you a better lawyer and teammate.
