    Looking for a litigation role where you'll gain hands-on experience, work on sophisticated cases, and receive mentorship from experienced trial attorneys?

    Segal McCambridge, a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our West Virginia team. This position focuses on toxic tort (asbestos), product liability, and workers' compensation matters and offers the opportunity to take ownership of a meaningful caseload while collaborating with a team of highly experienced litigators.

    Whether you're based in Charleston, Morgantown, Wheeling, or elsewhere in West Virginia, we offer the flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid capacity.

    What You'll Do

    • Manage all phases of assigned litigation matters with partner oversight
    • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
    • Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy
    • Take and defend depositions
    • Communicate with clients and insurance carriers
    • Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
    • Handle cases from inception through resolution while building your litigation skills

    What We're Looking For

    • Active license to practice law in West Virginia
    • Pennsylvania licensure (or licensure in neighboring states) is a plus
    • At least 1 year of civil litigation experience
    • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
    • Experience conducting legal research and handling depositions
    • Prior toxic tort, asbestos, product liability, or workers' compensation experience preferred
    • Strong legal writing, analytical, advocacy, and communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
    • Self-motivated professional who takes ownership of assignments
    • Mediation and arbitration experience is a plus
