    Description

    Job Description

    The Associate Auditor will be responsible for performing assigned audit and internal control test work and helping to report the audit results.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Preforming audit work within assigned areas and generate documentation showing results and findings of the audit
    • Evaluate adequacy of existing controls, identifying weak or missing controls and make recommendations to strengthen controls
    • Prepare memos and reports to communicate audit findings to line management
    • Follow-up on management's corrective action progress on issues cited
    • Collaborate with Corporate Auditor and the Audit Managers in working with Bank Examiners and external auditors; and
    • Travel to other Bank location/offices in order to perform assigned audits as necessary.

    Qualifications

    • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field required
    • CPA, CIA, CFSA, CRCM, CTA or professional certification highly desired
    • Previous professional work experience and prior working knowledge in audit highly desired
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word & Excel) required
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills and detail-oriented
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
    • Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently, demonstrate time management, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; and
    • Ability to travel up to 10%

    Essential Functions:

    • Standing or sitting for extended periods of time
    • Sufficient dexterity of hands and fingers to efficiently operate a computer keyboard,mouse, power tools, and other computer components
    • Ability to converse and exchange information with all levels of staff within organization
    • Ability to observe, perceive, identify, and translate data/processes; and
    • Ability to travel via air, rail, automobile and/or bus.
