Job Type: Full-Time, Salaried (Exempt) - $90,000 - $100,000

Job Location: Kodiak HQ: Park City, Utah – On-Site / Hybrid  


Individual base salary for this role ultimately will depend on numerous factors, including but not limited to experience, job-related skills, relevant education or training, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate could fall anywhere within the stated range. This role also is eligible to participate in Kodiak's annual discretionary bonus program, which is dependent on various factors, including individual and company performance.  

Kodiak is currently seeking a driven Associate Brand Manager to support the growth of Kodiak’s oatmeal business. In this highly collaborative role, you’ll contribute to strategic brand-building initiatives while executing day-to-day business activities with excellence. The ideal candidate is a go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong analytical acumen, and demonstrates the ability to connect everyday tasks to broader business goals. 

What will this position do? 

Business Analysis & Planning: 

  • Support the oatmeal business by assisting in the delivery of revenue, margin, market share, and key business performance metrics. 
  • Support the development of and execute annual and long-range strategic plans aligned to company objectives.  
  • Monitor and analyze business performance (velocity, distribution, pricing, promo effectiveness) and proactively identify opportunities and risks.  
  • Build business cases for innovation and investments, including volume, revenue, and margin projections.  
  • Partner closely with cross functional teammates on forecasting, demand planning, and performance tracking.  

Portfolio Management: 

  • Support the development of the product portfolio strategy, including SKU prioritization, SKU rationalization, and 3-year innovation pipeline.  
  • Lead day-to-day commercialization activities for innovation launches, product renovations, and packaging updates. 
  • Translate consumer, category, and competitive insights into actionable growth initiatives.  

Trade & Marketing Strategy: 

  • Partner with Business Development and Sales to support execution of the oatmeal trade strategy. 
  • Assist in developing annual marketing plans and managing the marketing budget. 
  • Review marketing materials to ensure messaging aligns with brand strategy and project objectives. 
  • Monitor marketing and promotional performance, identifying opportunities to optimize execution. 

Influence & Collaborate:  

  • Develop expertise in the oatmeal category competitive landscape, and consumer trends. 
  • Prepare compelling internal and customer-facing presentations, including IBP and key retailer meetings.  
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to drive alignment and successful project execution. 
  • Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to support business decisions. 

What are we looking for? 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in brand management, marketing, or strategy. CPG food industry experience highly preferred 
  • A combination of analytical rigor and creative problem-solving; able to zoom in on details and zoom out to see the bigger picture 
  • Demonstrated bias for action and initiative – you don’t wait to be told what to do  
  • Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals and the 4Ps 
  • Comfort navigating P&Ls and applying a financial lens to decision-making 
  • Experience with syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, Circana) and translating insights into action  
  • Passion for building consumer-centric brands and delivering meaningful results 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and a drive for accuracy 
  • Natural collaborator who thrives in cross-functional environments
