  • Under the direction of the Senior Buyer, the CPOR Associate Buyer (Pre-Owned Rolex – Swiss Crown) manages the day-to-day operations and execution of the CPOR business across the fleet, including assortment planning, inventory optimization, mail order management, training, and ship-level execution.

    This position serves as the primary liaison between Swiss Crown, Starboard’s merchandising and planning teams, and onboard retail teams to ensure seamless execution, inventory productivity, and a best-in-class luxury experience.

What you’ll be doing:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Partner with Swiss Crown on ship-by-ship assortment planning, ensuring the right mix of collections, case sizes, and configurations to maximize productivity.
  • Lead inventory rebalancing strategies, including offloads, ship-to-ship transfers, and targeted redistribution to optimize sell-through and reduce aged inventory.
  • Ensure accurate product setup, pricing, and item data integrity across all systems.
  • Monitor inventory health and proactively identify sell-down, replenishment, and reallocation opportunities.
  • Analyze market pricing and discounting by style to ensure on board pricing and offers are competitive within our profit requirements.
  • Refine and validate sales forecasts for CPO watch collections (Datejust, Day-date, Submariner, Yatchmaster, Explorer, etc.), providing inventory-related insights and adjustments based on historical performance, market trends, and pricing and promotional activities.
  • In partnership with planning, develop and execute comprehensive inventory strategies for all CPO, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet demand while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
  • Support the Senior Planning Manager with the forecasting and planning of inventory receipts, considering lead times, production capacities, and sales trends specific to the luxury watch industry.
  • Monitor inventory performance through key metrics such as sell-through, turn, and weeks of supply, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Brand Training, Merchandising & Presentation

·        Coordinate and execute CPOR training programs (onboard and virtual), ensuring strong product knowledge and storytelling.

·        Support training of onboard teams on luxury selling techniques, CPOR value and exclusivity, and pre-owned storytelling.

·        Ensure all training materials and market insights specific to the pre-owned category are current and maintained within Allego.

·        Conduct local ship visits to evaluate visual merchandising, assortment presentation, and team engagement.

·        Ensure CPOR presentation reflects luxury standards and maximizes visual impact.

Support training of shipboard teams on mail order tools and digital catalog navigation to support adoption and conversion.

 

Cross-Functional Leadership & Brand Advocacy

·        Serve as the CPOR Brand Champion, driving visibility and alignment across the organization.

·        Build strong partnerships with planning, operations, marketing, and onboard teams.

·        Manage shop capacity and presentation strategy, balancing inventory depth with visual impact.

·        Represent CPOR in internal forums with a focus on ownership, accountability, and solution-driven thinking.

Oversee SPIFF calendar management, ensuring vendor agreements are current and executed on time.

 

Experiential Selling, Mail Order & Trunk Shows

  • Lead the evolution of CPOR into a luxury concierge-style experience, expanding access beyond onboard inventory.
  • Drive mail order growth and adoption, positioning it as a key sales channel.
  • Own and maintain Boss Logics (digital catalog), ensuring pricing accuracy, strong assortment visibility, and seamless user experience.
  • Coordinate trunk shows, vendor sailings, and curated experiences to introduce expanded assortments

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required for Success:

 

  • Strong understanding of luxury retail, watches, and pre-owned/vintage categories.
  • Proven ability to manage inventory, assortment planning, and product lifecycle in a retail environment.
  • Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of luxury clienteling, storytelling, and experiential retail.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and in partnership with external vendors.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Passion for luxury timepieces and the pre-owned watch market.

 

Required Education & Experience:

Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

3-6 years equivalent work experience.

Travel Requirements –

10-25% travel required

This position will be based in the Doral Starboard HQ 4 days a week with Wednesday remote.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Some flexibility in hours is permitted, employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and must work 30 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

 

Physical Demands:Office environment with frequent sitting, walking and standing, occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling use of office machinery. This position requires the ability tooccasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Oral and auditory enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication automated devise such as the telephone.
