Job Title:
Distribution Center Associate
Job Summary:
The Distribution Center Associate is responsible for performing various tasks to ensure the accurate and efficient processing, storage, and shipment of merchandise within the distribution center. This role supports the overall supply chain by maintaining inventory accuracy, meeting productivity standards, and ensuring timely delivery of products to retail locations or customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving & Unloading:
Unload incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders.
Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies.
Inventory Management:
Accurately scan, label, and store products in designated locations.
Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
Order Fulfillment:
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards.
Ensure proper packaging and labeling for outbound shipments.
Material Handling:
Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or conveyors (if certified).
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Quality & Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
Adhere to quality standards and report any issues promptly.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous warehouse or distribution experience is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Basic computer and scanning system skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
