    Description

    Associate Civil Engineer
    Location: San Jose, California
    Work Type: Long-Term Contract
    Positions: 1
    The Associate Civil Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, transportation, and public works. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
    Key Responsibilities
    Engineering Design & Development
    • Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects (roads, drainage, utilities, etc.)
    • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations
    • Review plans and ensure compliance with engineering standards
    Project Management Support
    • Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination
    • Monitor project progress and assist with resolving issues
    • Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams
    Technical Analysis
    • Perform engineering calculations and data analysis
    • Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies
    • Identify risks and recommend solutions
    Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
    • Assist in permit applications and approvals
    • Support environmental and safety compliance efforts
    Documentation & Reporting
    • Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and presentations
    • Maintain accurate records of project activities
    • Support audits and inspections
    Must-Have Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
    • 3+ years of civil engineering experience
    • Knowledge of civil engineering principles, codes, and standards
    • Experience with AutoCAD / Civil 3D or similar tools
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (Preferred)
    • Experience in public works or infrastructure projects
    • Familiarity with permitting and regulatory processes
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
