Associate Civil Engineer

Pay: $57 - $71 per hour

Bowman & Williams Consulting Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors (B&W) is a civil engineering and land surveying firm specializing in private development and public works consulting services for developers, educational institutions, and municipalities in the Santa Cruz County and Central California Coast areas since 1908. We are experiencing continuous growth, and are seeking experienced Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors for our Soquel, CA office.

Qualified candidates will have a California Civil Engineer license, an interest in residential, commercial, and municipal site development and related infrastructure; and demonstrated abilities to work well in a team environment, meet deadlines, and work under minimal supervision. Extensive experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office is required. Position is onsite at our office located in Soquel, CA with eventual allowance for one day a week remote work in the future.

Typical projects include feasibility studies; roadway and infrastructure design; analysis and design of grading, storm drainage, storm detention/retention, water systems, and sanitary sewer systems; erosion control plans; permit processing; constructability analysis; quantities and cost estimates; and bid document preparation. Office tasks also include coordination with clients, engineers, and architects. Project management tasks include preparing proposals for new work and monitoring overall project budgets and schedules.
