Position is located at 5000 Rogers Avenue in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Position is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm.

Summary:

Job Summary

The Associate Client Advisor learns the financial services business, develops sales skills, and is provided with a learning environment to study and pass all required licensing exams. This role is responsible for contacting potential customers and scheduling appointments to discuss financial services. The incumbent is expected to gain a foundational understanding of gathering and analyzing financial information, which includes learning what information is needed when designing future financial goals for potential customers. The incumbent also works in conjunction with an assigned AWM Manager to learn the skills needed to prepare for client meetings.

Responsibilities

Successfully obtain Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and Retirement Planning licenses within 120 days of hire. This includes Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, Series 63 and 65 license, or Series 66 (combination exam of 63/65), and Life and Variable Annuity.

Develop general understanding of how Arvest Wealth Management (AWM) provides financial and retirement planning services to Arvest Bank and AWM customers.

Gain knowledge of the financial planning processes and learn how to provide customers with financial solutions in regard to the sale of brokerage, insurance, trust services and trust products.

Learn to develop partnerships in order to gain sales referrals, prospect, develop internal and external sales opportunities, initiate cold call communication with prospective clients in effort to generate business, and work with Centers of Influence and vendors to develop strong relationships.

Develop an understanding of a customer's financial goals and needs by using financial information gathered. Learn how to review and analyze financial situations to determine what appropriate financial services/products would meet customer's needs.

Work with assigned AWM Manager to learn how to present plans to customers for review and consideration, as well as explain pertinent information related to the customers' financial plan.

Learn how to perform a final overview of a determined plan to garner a better understanding of the financial process. This includes learning how to gather information to generate the customer's application process for financial products according to internal policies and procedures.

Understand and comply with bank policies, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to job duties. This includes, but is not limited to, completing compliance training, adhering to internal procedures and controls, reporting any known violations of compliance policies, laws, or regulations, and reporting any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Other duties and special projects may be assigned.

Responsibilities:

Experience

Preferred: Sales and/or customer service experience.

Relevant work experience may be substituted for the Associate's degree requirement.

Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.

Credentials

Required: Must obtain FINRA SIE license within 120 days of hire.

Required: Must obtain FINRA Series 7 license within 120 days of hire.

Required: Must obtain FINRA 63 and 65 license OR Series 66 (combination exam of 63/65) license within 120 days of hire.

Required: Must obtain Life, Health, and Variable Annuity Insurance license within 120 days of hire.

Must be able to operate standard office equipment and use office applications for communication, information and document transmission, and content, document, and report creation.

The essential duties of this job occasionally require the associate to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Must be able to operate a passenger vehicle and possess a current, valid driver's license.

Ability to travel overnight, unaccompanied, within the United States via automobile and air is required, on occasion.

The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate.
