Overview

At Groups, the Associate Clinical Supervisor will play a key role in our organization by supporting the delivery of high-quality care. You will be responsible for achieving quality goals and for helping to implement new clinical protocols and initiatives. You will serve as a role model, reflecting the organization's treatment philosophy, goals and policies to colleagues and members. The Associate Clinical Supervisor will manage a team of 2-6 counselors across multiple offices and will carry a caseload of 4-6 groups. This role reports to the Clinical Director.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PMSalary: $76,111

Responsibilities

  • Coach clinical staff on managing complex cases, improving their independent, clinical skills and adhering to clinical policies and procedures.
  • Provide direct/in-person clinical oversight and support on a regular basis
  • Drive great clinical outcomes for our members by performance managing substance abuse counselors to meet the organization's companywide key performance indicators.
  • Conduct individual and group clinical supervision to develop skills and drive performance improvement (and document as appropriate).
  • Conduct direct observation of counseling services (intake and group) to provide appropriate feedback and coaching to staff.
  • Partner with the Regional Director to ensure all day to day functions run smoothly in order to deliver high quality care.
  • Address quarterly chart review trends and provide additional training/support, as needed, to ensure clinical documentation meets internal and external expectations.
  • Ensure clinical documentation is submitted in a timely manner.
  • Assist in preparations for site audits (e.g., state licensing, accreditation, managed care)
  • Provide Counselor coverage (PTO or illness) or other direct clinical services as appropriate or assigned.
  • Participate in the interview process for Counselors.
  • Perform quarterly/annual performance reviews for Clinical Staff and manage HR issues, working with State Director, HR and Clinical Director.
  • Help roll out new clinical protocols and product offerings.
  • Identify and act on opportunities for improved performance.
  • Participate in Quality & Compliance related initiatives as appropriate.
  • Ensure all new Counselors are trained effectively and fully understand the organization's treatment model, policies & procedures, and values.
  • Identify staff training needs to meet quality goals and ensure those needs are met
  • Support development of local or central training content, as subject matter expert
  • Support successful launch of new locations, including hiring, community outreach, and demand generation.
  • Deliver structured and effective onboarding for new employees that both conveys technical knowledge and imparts culture.
  • Establish Groups as a respected & positive presence in the community.
  • Help deliver training, as needed.
  • Represent the organization in meetings and events, as the clinical expert or lead
  • Assist Clinical Directors with implementing new clinical protocols and initiatives.
  • Accountable for clinical outcomes and related KPIs in assigned region and for optimizing clinical KPIs.
  • Work collaboratively with the providers and Regional Medical Director.
  • Ability to work remotely with regular and required travel to offices.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A desire to assume general management responsibility and extend your skills beyond direct clinical work or clinical management
  • Knowledge of the local market and the addiction space - other treatment providers, local stakeholders, community organizations, etc
  • Proven management experience leading people and teams, with the ability to work with everyone from senior managers to physicians to entry-level employees
  • Experience hiring top talent, ideally across both clinical and non-clinical roles.
  • You have a high bar for talent and know how to evaluate whether candidates meet it
  • Excellent communication skills. You know how to manage communication effectively across a large, dispersed team, and are comfortable representing the organization to external audiences
  • Some exposure to operations, and an appreciation of what it takes to run a medical practice at scale
  • Extremely high standards for self and team
  • The ability to travel up to 50% of the time to multiple office locations
  • Ability to be in office, if needed, when performing clinical duties
  • Ability to use discretion and work independently
  • Ability to understand and adhere to the Professional Code of Conduct.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Master''s Degree preferred in the Behavioral Health field (Psychology, Counseling, or similar field), (2+) years of full-time behavioral health experience and Licensed at the Independent level as an LADC/CADC, LCMHC, LPC, LPCC-CS, LICDC-CS, LISW-S, LCAC, LMFT or LCSW and a master's degree in a related field.*
  • At least 5 years clinical experience in addiction or other areas of behavioral health, at high-quality, reputable organizations Experience with a multi-site healthcare services organization strongly preferred·
  • Access to reliable internet and telephone services, specifically 10M download and 5M upload package or higher as well as a strong WiFi signal from your remote work location.
  • Must meet pre-employment requirements and maintain all applicable state and job-related guidelines for background screening. Depending on state-specific requirements, this may include fingerprinting, drug testing, health screening, CPR/Basic First Aid and license/credential verifications. Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record and own transportation to travel to multiple offices.
