JOB SUMMARY
Kutak Rock seeks an Associate to join the Community Development Finance practice in our Omaha office. This dynamic role is ideal for an attorney with experience or interest in developing their knowledge and skills in a transactional practice, including community development finance, tax, real estate, and lending while working closely with experienced partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct due diligence and prepare diligence checklists and memoranda with respect to large real estate transactions
- Draft, review and negotiate operating agreements, loan documents, leases, guarantees, opinions, and related commercial financial documents
- Coordinate transaction closing processes
QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities
- Excellent writing, analytical and communication skills
- Possess a general working knowledge of classification of different entity formations structures such as partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations
- Strong organizational and matter management skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to apply critical thinking and possess a high attention to detail
- Work professionally and collaboratively with partners, associates, paralegals and support staff
- Self-motivated and proactive with a strong work ethic
- Ability and confidence to work independently while thriving in a high-paced, collaborative, team environment
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience
- Must be currently admitted to practice in Nebraska with an active bar license in good standing or able to be admitted within the first year of employment
- Experience or coursework in transactional matters including finance, accounting, tax, or real estate law preferred but not required
- Candidates with excellent academic credentials given preference
