    DescriptionHelp shape the future of global connectivity.Amazon Leo is building a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites designed to deliver low‑latency, high‑speed broadband access to underserved and unserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to support strategic commercial customer agreements, technology transactions, and commercial engagements that help power this global connectivity mission.As Commercial Counsel, you will negotiate and structure complex commercial transactions that support Amazon Leo's growing portfolio of enterprise customers, channel partners, and mobility‑related engagements. You will work closely with business, product, and operations teams on high‑impact agreements that shape Amazon Leo's commercial strategy.This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of satellite technology, telecommunications, emerging technology, and sophisticated commercial transactions within one of Amazon's most ambitious innovation initiatives.Export Control RequirementDue to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Some domestic and international travel will be required.Key job responsibilitiesDraft and support negotiations for strategic enterprise agreements, commercial transactions, technology partnerships, and channel partner agreements supporting Amazon Leo's global connectivity business, with a focus on mobility engagementsAdvise business teams on legal, commercial, operational, and strategic considerations associated with large‑scale customer and partnership engagementsDevelop practical and scalable legal frameworks that enable rapid business growth while appropriately managing organizational riskPartner cross‑functionally with product, business development, operations, and compliance to support evolving commercial models and international expansion initiativesHelp build efficient legal processes that support fast‑moving technology and infrastructure businessesAbout the teamAmazon Leo's legal team is a collaborative group of commercial and technology attorneys supporting the development and expansion of next‑generation satellite connectivity solutions. The team works closely with business leaders, engineers, product teams, and global partners to navigate complex legal and commercial challenges while enabling innovation at global scale.Basic Qualifications2+ years of post bar admission legal experienceJuris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalentExperience in commercial transactionsPreferred QualificationsExperience of a mix of corporate law firm and in‑house workExperience in web services/cloud computing, software licensing, telecommunications or equivalentExperience supporting enterprise customers, strategic commercial partnerships, or channel partner transactionsExperience advising on technology transactions, telecommunications agreements, infrastructure projects, or emerging technology mattersExperience in technology, telecommunications, infrastructure, satellite, cloud, or related industriesAbility to provide practical, business‑oriented legal advice in fast‑paced and evolving environmentsExperience working cross‑functionally with business, operational, product, and leadership stakeholdersExperience supporting global or international commercial transactionsAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
