The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Legal team is looking for a talented attorney to support AWS, Amazon's dynamic and rapidly growing business at the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry.

This Associate Corporate Counsel will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and will support AWS's specialist sales, business development, and partner network teams. The successful candidate will be able to counsel business partners on a variety of complex legal issues; structure, draft, and negotiate agreements and program documents; and drive process-oriented improvements.

Key job responsibilities

  • Support AWS's specialist sales, business development, and partner network teams with strategic legal insights on various sales and business development initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to launch and support sales programs and initiatives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure legal alignment with business objectives
  • Negotiate and draft complex enterprise and technology agreements across diverse business contexts
  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel on policy, regulatory, and compliance matters related to cloud computing and technology services

A day in the life

Your day will be a blend of strategic counseling on legal issues and collaborative problem-solving to unlock business opportunities. You'll engage with AWS's specialist sales, business development, partner network, product, policy, security, and operations teams. You'll craft agreements and programs that drive AWS's innovative cloud and AI technologies forward in support of our customers. From negotiating strategic contracts to providing legal guidance to business leaders, you"ll be at the heart of AWS's transformative work to empower customers through innovative cloud solutions.

You will be joining a fast-paced, tightly knit, and diverse legal team that delights in building, innovating, and simplifying for its business partners and customers. As part of the team, you will participate in team-wide meetings, departmental goals, and collaborative projects. In this role, you will have access and visibility to both legal and business leadership.
