As a transactional Associate Corporate Counsel for Amazon Leo, you'll be at the forefront of transforming global connectivity through state-of-the-art satellite and networking technology. Amazon is looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology, has the inclination to be continually challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment even in a void of information or ambiguous situations. You'll be the legal expert enabling Amazon's ambitious mission to build and launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide broadband access to communities that have been digitally isolated. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to negotiate complex technology contracts, navigate intricate legal landscapes, and support the rapid deployment of satellite and ground infrastructure that connects the unconnected. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Key job responsibilities - Review, draft, and negotiate diverse technology contracts including component purchase, launch services, licensing, and manufacturing agreements - Develop innovative legal strategies that support business objectives and mitigate potential risks - Provide comprehensive legal advice on complex technological and commercial issues - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution - Create scalable legal processes that enable rapid decision-making and organizational agility A day in the life Your day will be dynamic and intellectually stimulating. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
