Grow is looking for an Associate Creative Director, Paid Social who lives at the intersection of data, strategy, and creative. In this role, youll shape how brand strategy shows up in paid social - marrying data, cultural trends, and brand goals into creative that performs at scale across channels like Meta and TikTok.

Reporting to the Creative Director, youll manage a team of designers and editors, setting the creative bar for paid social and ensuring every asset - whether produced internally or by agency partners - meets a high standard of craft and performance. This role requires strong design fundamentals and hands-on technical skill: youll need to demonstrate technique, give precise craft-level feedback, and be ready to jump into the work yourself.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead paid social creative at Grow, translating broader brand strategy into high-performing, on-brand paid social work.

  • Manage and develop a team of designers and editors, providing creative direction, feedback, and hands-on coaching to raise the teams craft.

  • Review and approve creative from both internal team members and agency partners, maintaining consistent creative excellence across all sources.

  • Maintain and model strong design and editing craft, setting the technical and aesthetic standard the team is expected to meet.

  • Build structured creative testing frameworks in partnership with Growth and Strategy partners that validate hypotheses, explore new formats, and uncover what resonates with different audience personas.

  • Partner with growth and data teams to track performance signals, interpret data, and translate insights into creative direction and iteration.

  • Maintain an always-on pipeline of new, diverse creative ideas informed by cultural trends, creator behaviors, community conversations, and platform shifts.

  • Develop guidelines, templates, and scalable systems that help the team and broader organization produce high-quality, high-volume social content.

  • Monitor competitive landscapes and platform trends to identify new opportunities for breakthrough creativity.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience creating social-first creative in a performance-driven environment, ideally within a growth team, creative studio, or agency.

  • 2+ years of experience managing or directing designers, editors, or other creative talent.

  • Experience reviewing and giving feedback on creative from both internal teams and agency partners.

  • Deep fluency in Meta, TikTok, and other performance channels, including an understanding of how creative influences delivery, CPM efficiency, and conversion.

  • Experience developing structured testing plans and frameworks that connect creative concepts to personas, hypotheses, and clear measurement criteria.

  • Experience translating brand strategy into channel-specific creative direction.

Skills

  • A strong portfolio of work that demonstrates mastery of short-form video, static ads, editing, and native social storytelling. Were looking for someone who can point to work they built themselves, not only work they directed or approved.

  • Strong hands-on production and design fundamentals - editing, motion/animation, typography, and composition - with the technical skill to demonstrate technique and give precise, craft-level feedback, not just directional notes.

  • A strong grasp of internet culture, meme language, creator trends, and the nuances that make content feel native to each platform.

  • An analytical mindset with an addiction to real-time performance data and an ability to translate signals into creative direction.

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with growth, analytics, brand, and product teams.

  • A proactive, pace-setting, solutions-oriented approach to leading high-volume creative output in a dynamic environment.

  • A passion for pushing boundaries while maintaining brand integrity and consistency across all touchpoints.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
