The Opportunity:
  • The client has an exciting opportunity for a litigation associate to join the Litigation team in Chicago office.
  • Client's cohesive and collaborative team has a diverse and unique multidisciplinary practice that gives you the opportunity to work closely with shareholders and to participate in business development and client-facing activities.

About you:
  • You bring 3-5 years of law firm experience focused on Creditor's Rights Litigation and bankruptcy law;
  • You have hands-on experience drafting complaints and motions, conducting discovery, appearing in federal, state, and bankruptcy courts, negotiating settlements, and communicating with opposing counsel and clients. Your experience should cover the enforcement of commercial loans, collateral repossession, the Uniform Commercial Code (particularly Articles 2, 2A, and 9), equipment leasing, and commercial finance law;
  • Deposition experience and strong case management abilities are highly valued;
  • You have a J.D. degree and strong academic credentials;
  • You are admitted in (and in good standing with), or taking steps to become admitted in, Illinois.
