The Student Life department of Covenant Seminary seeks a full-time (with benefits) Associate Dean of students to help maintain a commitment to the mission and purpose of the Seminary and to provide nurture and care to Covenant students and their families, with a primary focus on female students and spouses. The position reports to the Dean of Students and will start in mid-summer 2026. Skills and AttributesGracious and sociableTeachable and flexibleSupportive of the Covenant Theological Seminary vision, mission, and core values.PersonableHonors the Presbyterian Church in America and willingly engages churches, constituents, and agencies.Appreciates and is experienced in navigating the impact of an individual's story on relationships and future ministries.Administrative competencyPassionate about spiritual formation and discipleship.Position ResponsibilitiesProvide co-curricular support to the female students and wives of the Covenant Seminary community.Plan, advise, and coordinate womens events on campus.Oversee and facilitate residential and online student womens Cohort and Formation Groups, to practice interpersonal skills, attentiveness, and consider God's work in their lives for the sake of robust and resilient future ministry.Provide short-term counseling services to primarily female students, male students, and couples as needed regarding various life and academic issues.Submit quarterly updates for CTS Board of Trustees report. Engage in occasional and pertinent speaking opportunities.Provide content contributions to the Student Handbook, student knowledgebase, and other materials.Collaboratively plan and implement student events (New Student Orientation, Hybrid Weeks, Graduation Celebration, fellowship gatherings).Provide support and input towards retention issues for online, hybrid, and residential students.Proactive pursuit of female students, online, hybrid, and residential.Participate in team representation at PCA General Assembly and strategic conferences.Supervise Family Nurture Coordinator and International Care Coordinator.Oversee and administer the counseling scholarship budget.Work with the Title IX Committee, which could include event planning and training, as well as conducting hearings and deliberations on Title IX cases.To Apply: Send resume and cover letter to Mark McElmurry, Dean of Students, at mark.mcelmurry@covenantseminary.edu.
