    What You'll Do: 

    • Supervise and develop faculty and staff: support hiring and onboarding, conduct performance evaluations, review leave/timesheets, mentor for growth, and address personnel matters.
    • Plan and manage academic operations: build and evaluate credit and non-credit course schedules; coordinate faculty workloads, instructional assignments, and adjunct/overload needs.
    • Advance program quality and growth: guide curriculum development and revision; review syllabi, course content, and Canvas integration; support accreditation, program review, assessment, and continuous improvement.
    • Use data to drive decisions: monitor enrollment trends, program performance, student outcomes, completers, job placements, and industry-recognized credentials (IRCs/IBCs) to identify opportunities for improvement and expansion.
    • Build industry and community partnerships: oversee advisory committees; develop and maintain strategic relationships with employers, K–12 districts, colleges, universities, and community organizations; track and report partnership activities and outcomes.
    • Expand student pathways: support dual enrollment, articulation, transfer agreements, work-based learning, internships, and apprenticeships in collaboration with faculty and external partners.
    • Ensure compliance and funding readiness: partner with Enrollment, Grants, and other offices to maintain accurate program, course, and funding data for financial aid, TOPS, MJ Foster Promise, WIOA, grants, and other sources.
    • Support grant lifecycle activities: help identify opportunities and provide programmatic leadership for grant development, implementation, monitoring, reporting, compliance, and closeout.
    • Promote programs: collaborate with Marketing on website updates, social media, advertisements, promotional materials, and program photography/media.
    • Manage resources: assist the Dean with division budgeting, expenditures, facilities, equipment, supplies, and inventory; coordinate procurement to support program operations.
    • Lead events: plan and coordinate division programming (summer camps, informational sessions, industry seminars, closing ceremonies) and support college-wide events (open houses, job fairs, recruiting visits).
    • Represent the division at convocation, committees, and professional development activities; foster a respectful, inclusive, student-centered culture.

     

    Required Qualifications: 

    • Master’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in higher education administration, academic support, or program leadership (community college experience preferred).
    • Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and continuously improve academic and workforce programs and course offerings.
    • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with a collaborative, solutions-oriented leadership style.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas).
    • Flexibility to work varied hours and respond to evolving priorities.

     

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    • Experience with accreditation, program review, and assessment in career and technical education.
    • Background developing industry partnerships, advisory committees, or work-based learning/apprenticeship programs.
    • Familiarity with state/federal funding streams (e.g., WIOA, TOPS, MJ Foster Promise) and grant-supported initiatives.
