Summary

Job Title: Associate Dental Director

Location: Oroville, CA

Job Summary

The Associate Dental Director is responsible for the provision of quality dental services to the patients of the organization. They also assists in the development and maintenance of the quality assurance process for the Dental Department to ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies. The incumbent is responsible to assist the Dental Director in administrative duties.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality dental care and referrals following organizational priorities.
  • Document patient visits promptly using the approved and standardized documentation format.
  • Deliver dental services and referrals aligned with organizational and program priorities.
  • Assist Dental Director developing policies, procedures, goals, and maintaining accreditation compliance.
  • Support Dental Director overseeing daily operations of the Dental Department.
  • Review and document drug inventory according to scheduled departmental requirements.
  • Maintain professional relationships with community dental providers and service agencies.
  • Assist recruiting and screening potential dental staff and specialty service personnel.
  • Collaborate with dental providers developing care standards for quality assessment.
  • Support staff and patient dental education initiatives with organizational team members.
  • Participate regularly in continuing education to maintain certification and professional development.
  • Review and approve timesheets, vacation requests, and leave for auxiliary staff.
  • Participate in the Dental Department Quality Improvement Program activities.
  • Monitor and maintain departmental dosimeter reports on a monthly basis.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Dental School.
  • Current California State license to practice dentistry or, if Federal employee, meets the licensing requirements for Federal employment as a dentist.
  • Minimum of three (3) year's experience in clinical practice.
  • Current radiation certificate or compliance; DEA license and number and CPR certification.

Schedule

Full-time; Open M-F, and offer 4- 10's with the option of m-TH or T-Fri
