    Description

    The Associate Dentist is responsible for delivering high-quality dental care to patients, diagnosing oral health issues, and performing a wide range of dental procedures. The role focuses on patient treatment, preventive care, and maintaining excellent patient relationships within the practice.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Examine patients’ teeth, gums, and oral tissues to diagnose conditions
    • Develop and implement treatment plans
    • Perform general dental procedures, including:
      • Fillings, crowns, and bridges,implants
      • Root canal treatments
      • Tooth extractions, surgical extractions
      • Preventive care (cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants)
    • Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
    • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
    • Use dental instruments and technology safely and effectively
    • Follow infection control and safety guidelines
    • Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff
    • Stay updated with advancements in dentistry and continuing education

    Qualifications

    • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree
    • Valid dental license in the illinos
    • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience with dental software systems
    • Knowledge of cosmetic and restorative procedures
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Patient-focused approach

    Work Environment

    • Dental clinics or private practices
    • May include evenings or weekend shifts depending on practice hours
