This is a full-time, on-site Associate Dentist role based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Associate Dentist will provide comprehensive general dentistry, including examinations, diagnoses, treatment planning, restorations, extractions, basic endodontic care, and preventive services for a diverse patient population. Daily responsibilities include performing clinical procedures to a high standard of care, reviewing medical histories, obtaining informed consent, and documenting all treatments accurately in patient records. The role involves collaborating with dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and a positive, respectful clinical environment. The Associate Dentist will also educate patients on oral health, discuss treatment options and costs, and support practice growth through quality care, patient communication, and adherence to clinical and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school and active, unrestricted dental license (or eligibility) for the state of Georgia.
- Strong clinical foundation in general dentistry, including diagnostics, restorative procedures, preventive care, and basic emergency management.
- Commitment to high standards of infection control, patient safety, and compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical guidelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain treatment options clearly and build trust with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based setting, manage time effectively, and adapt to a busy, schedule-driven environment.
- Willingness to participate in continuing education, adopt new techniques and technologies, and contribute to continuous improvement in the practice.
- Experience with digital radiography and electronic dental records is preferred; familiarity with practice management software is a plus.
- Prior experience as an Associate Dentist or completion of a general practice residency is beneficial but not required for highly motivated early-career dentists.
