The Boeing Company is looking for an Associate Design and Analysis Engineer for Mission Systems Communications and Navigation Hardware to join our team in Tukwila, WA.

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity on the United States Air Force (USAF) E-7A Program for Mission Communication and Navigation Engineers. The Mission Systems Team is responsible for design, procurement and integration of the full Mission Systems capability onboard the E-7A.

The E-7 is the world’s most advanced, capable and reliable Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) platform, having proven itself in operations around the world. The aircraft is designed to track multiple airborne and maritime targets simultaneously. It can provide situational awareness and direct other assets such as fighter jets and warships. The E-7A program is an important program for Boeing with significant growth potential.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist to development, documentation, and maintenance of complex electronic and electrical system architecture and requirements.

  • Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.

  • Develop test procedures and document test results to ensure system requirements are met

  • Conduct system tests and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.

  • Gather information to support system project management

  • Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and provide other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

  • Support research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

  • Work under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 2+ years of engineering experience or a master's degree.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

  • Experience in hardware development, verification or compliance finding to DO-160, MIL-STD-810

  • Experience with RF measurements including intermodulation distortion, phase noise, and spurious measurement test techniques and familiarity with S-parameters

  • Experience with electronics laboratory instrumentation

  • Experience with high frequency RF, Digital, power and analog test systems

  • Experience with product configuration management.

Summary pay range:

Associate Level: $98,600 – $133,400
