Salary/Hourly Rate: $32/hr - $34/hr
$70k - $75k upon conversion
Position Overview: Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Associate Designer to support bedding and bath collections from concept through production. This role will collaborate with Design, Merchandising, Product Development, Artists, and vendors to develop seasonal collections and ensure projects stay on track.
Responsibilities of the Associate Designer:- Develop seasonal designs aligned with brand direction and market trends.
- Prepare artwork, presentations, and physical samples for buyer meetings.
- Create art plans, recolors, and design updates as needed.
- Coordinate with artists, vendors, and Product Development teams.
- Maintain accurate product information within PLM systems.
- Review samples, lab dips, and artwork and provide timely feedback.
- Support showroom and market preparation.
- Assist with mentoring Junior Designers/Design Assistants as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Associate Designer:- 2 - 5 years of experience in home textiles, home fashion, or related product development.
- Experience with bedding, bath, or soft home products.
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills.
- PLM experience is required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Associate Designer:- Experience with Pointcarre, BlueCherry, or similar PLM/textile software.
- Knowledge of home fashion trends and competitive markets.
- Experience working with artists, vendors, and Merchandising teams.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Design, Product Development, Textile Design, Fashion Design, or related field is preferred.
