Associate, Direct Lending | Boston, MA | Hybrid
A leading investment firm is looking to add an Associate, Direct Lending to its Boston-based investment team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career investment professional with strong financial modeling and credit analysis skills who wants to be involved in evaluating and underwriting new lending opportunities.
Compensation: $120,000-140,000 base ($200,000-250,000 total comp) Schedule: Onsite Monday - Thursday (remote Fridays)
The Role
Conduct due diligence and financial analysis on new investment opportunities
Build financial models, capital structures, and scenario analyses to evaluate cash flows and credit risk
Prepare credit memorandums and Investment Committee materials
Analyze comparable company financials and industry data
Research companies, industries, and market trends
Monitor existing portfolio investments and evaluate incremental financing opportunities
Participate in Investment Committee discussions and contribute to broader Direct Lending projects
What They're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record (3.5+ GPA), preferably in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
We are seeking candidates who graduated between 2023–2025 and have 1–3 years of experience in private credit/direct lending, leveraged finance, investment banking, corporate banking, or corporate finance.
Strong financial modeling, Excel, accounting, and credit analysis skills
Ability to evaluate companies and determine their ability to support debt financing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
