Description
Associate - Direct Lending - Investment Management - Boston - Hybrid
A leading investment firm is expanding its Lower Middle Market Direct Lending team in Boston and is seeking high-performing Analysts to join the team.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate new investment opportunities through detailed financial and credit analysis
Build and analyze financial models, capital structures, cash flow projections, and downside/upside scenarios
Conduct company, industry, and comparable company research
Prepare credit memoranda and Investment Committee materials
Monitor existing portfolio investments and evaluate incremental financing opportunities
Participate in Investment Committee discussions and broader investment team initiatives
Take on increasing responsibility within a collaborative, entrepreneurial investment environment
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record (3.5+ GPA), in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
1-3 years of relevant experience
Strong financial modeling, Excel, credit analysis, and accounting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Self-starter who is comfortable working independently and taking on additional responsibility
This is an opportunity to join a growing platform with significant capital to deploy and meaningful exposure to the full investment lifecycle, from underwriting through portfolio management.
