Job Title - Associate Director, Business Development
Location - New England MA, Boston MA area
Job Summary:
- Drive growth of WuXi Biologics CDMO business within an assigned territory by developing new client relationships, expanding existing accounts, and achieving regional sales targets.
- Develop and execute territory and account strategies aligned with Global BD objectives and company growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to align business strategies with corporate objectives and cultivate a high-performance, collaborative PROUD culture.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging innovations. Provide actionable insights to shape future service offerings and drive monetization of company's new technologies.
- Serve as a strategic partner to biotech and pharmaceutical clients, building long-term relationships and identifying opportunities across the value chain.
Job Responsibilities:
- Achieve annual sales goal and pipeline targets for the assigned territory.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities from existing clients and prospects across WuXi Biologics' CDMO service offerings.
- Expand business within existing accounts through strategic account planning and client engagement.
- Manage a portfolio of biotech, strategic, and selected pharmaceutical accounts.
- Lead proposal development, pricing strategy, commercial positioning, and contract negotiations.
- Build partnerships with technical, operations, legal, finance, project management, and executive leadership teams.
- Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and partnering events.
- Maintain CRM accuracy and forecast visibility.
- Promote and embody the company's PROUD values, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related field. MBA or PhD preferred.
- Bachelor''s degree with at least 7 years, or Master''s/PhD with at least 5 years, of life sciences industry experience.
- Minimum 4 years of successful business development, sales, or territory management experience within the CDMO, CRO, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record of achieving commercial targets and developing strategic customer relationships.
- Collaborative mindset with a commitment to fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and values-driven team culture.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $125,000 - $200,000
