    Job Description

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark or Cambridge, MA, USA

    Reporting to: VP, Clinical Sciences

    About Hemab

Hemab is building preventative treatments for serious, underserved bleeding disorders. These are therapies designed to work with the bodys own biology and stop bleeds before they start, instead of treating them after they happen. Were patient-first, science-led and clinical-stage - with a pipeline that takes different scientific approaches to different patient needs.

We went public via our 2026 IPO, and were scaling across two homes: Cambridge, MA, USA, and Copenhagen, Denmark.

    The role

As Associate Director, Clinical Sciences, youll help translate Hemabs science into well-designed clinical studies and reliable evidence about how our treatments perform in patients. Youll have hands-on scientific ownership across protocol development, study execution and data review, working closely with Medical Directors and colleagues across clinical development.

    What youll do

    • Drive the clinical science contribution to study design and execution, bringing clinical data and scientific thinking into development decisions.
    • Lead protocol development with the Medical Director, including amendments as study needs and emerging data change.
    • Review clinical study data, resolve discrepancies and identify safety or efficacy trends that need investigation or action.
    • Develop study documents and plans, including informed consent forms, eCRFs, medical monitoring plans and data review plans.
    • Guide sites and vendors on protocol requirements, eligibility criteria and participant management so the study is executed as intended.
    • Work with clinical development colleagues to analyse and interpret study results and build a clear picture of what the data are telling us.
    • Help communicate study findings clearly to internal and external stakeholders alongside the Medical Director.
    • Contribute clinical content to regulatory documents, including investigator brochures, annual safety reports, clinical study reports and registration submissions.

    What youll bring to Hemab

    • Significant experience in clinical science or clinical research within drug development, including direct involvement in interventional clinical studies.
    • Experience developing clinical protocols and reviewing and interpreting clinical study data.
    • A strong working understanding of ICH-GCP, clinical study design and drug development in a regulated environment.
    • The ability to interpret clinical information, scientific literature and changing treatment approaches and apply it to clinical development decisions.
    • Experience working closely with cross-functional colleagues and external partners, including investigators, consultants or vendors.

    Nice to have

    • Experience in haematology, rare disease or bleeding disorders.
    • Experience working across different stages of drug development, from early development towards registration.
    • An advanced scientific or clinical degree.

    What to expect, honestly

Hemab is still building a lot of its own structure. Systems here tend to get created as we need them, not handed down in advance. Whoever takes this role will likely build some of their own process instead of inheriting a finished one. We work across two hubs and multiple time zones - bridging that well takes real, deliberate effort. And because were growing quickly, priorities can shift with less notice than they would at a larger, more established company.

This is the actual shape of working somewhere at this stage: Its genuinely energising for the right person and genuinely frustrating for the wrong one. If you want a place where the operating manual is already written, this might not be it - but if you want to help write it, this might be exactly it.

    Why Hemab

At Hemab, your work ultimately connects back to something simple. People living with serious bleeding disorders get something theyve never had before - the chance to prevent a bleed, instead of reacting to one after it happens. Youll be joining at a stage where individual decisions still carry real weight, and where your work can help turn promising science into a preventative treatment that actually reaches patients.

How we treat our people is meant to be an extension of how we think about patients: with care, honesty, and respect. Were still building the consistency to back that up across every hiring process, every time. Wed say that plainly instead of pretending otherwise. If any part of your experience with us falls short of it, tell us.

Hemab builds balanced candidate slates and assesses everyone against a single standard. If you need a reasonable adjustment at any stage of the hiring process, please tell us.

    Equal Employment Opportunity

Hemab Therapeutics is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, seeking to create a welcoming and diverse environment. All applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, pregnancy, sex, marital status, gender expression or identity, genetic information, sexual orientation, citizenship, or any other legally protected class.
