Responsibilities

  • Work with NPP stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps that can be addressed with MR and CI.

  • Leverage in-house data & analyses to identify need for primary research, inform approaches, and ensure results complement existing data, CI, and forecasts.

  • Design and execute primary market research projects, including defining business question(s), developing methodologies, managing vendors, analyzing study data, and communicating results, interpretations, and recommendations to a variety of cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Design and field primary CI investigations to inform pipeline development decisions. Collaborate with Alkermes CI team as needed.

  • Integrate data sources from a wide variety of studies, analyze data, and communicate insights and recommendations.

  • Quickly become an expert in assigned market(s), related commercial products, and any potential new markets.

  • Build a strong strategic partnership with NPP and serve as a key thought partner for NPP team to maximize insight leverage and business impact.

The Associate Director, Market Research and Competitive Intelligence (MRCI), Pipeline and Early Assets will be responsible for recommending, designing, and executing qualitative and quantitative primary market research to provide actionable information and insights to support Alkermes' early-stage pipeline. The role will work closely with the New Product Planning (NPP) group, and interface with clinical and commercial functions as needed to inform the development of pipeline products by understanding treatment provider, consumer, and payer perceptions.
