We support families, veterans, and seniors with housing, provide care for individuals with developmental disabilities, promote restorative justice, and offer free HIV testing and education. POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Director coordinates and oversees regional residential operations for VOA Home programs across Kentucky. This role provides leadership to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed services for families experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. What You’ll Do Oversee and support daily operations of residential programs across the region Supervise, train, and support staff in service delivery, compliance, and best practices Ensure compliance with funding, regulatory, and accreditation standards (including COA and PQI) Assist in strategic planning, policy development, and program improvement initiatives Develop and monitor program budgets and financial performance Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, partners, and community stakeholders Support development of new programs and services Advocate for families and address systemic barriers impacting service delivery Ensure trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive care practices Conduct case reviews and ensure accurate reporting and documentation Participate in community and state-level committees Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and performance management to staff WHAT YOU'LL BRING Master’s degree in Human Services or related field with 5+ years of residential experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience OR 13+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree At least 2 years of experience managing teams and/or projects Strong knowledge of homelessness, including its impact on individuals and families Experience with trauma-informed care and crisis intervention practices Proven ability to manage complex, multi-site programs Strong skills in budgeting, program development, and team leadership Experience with grant writing, fundraising, or community engagement preferred Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel WHY JOIN VOA?
