Associate Director of Infrastructure Operations

Position Overview
The Associate Director of Infrastructure Operations plays a key leadership role in supporting and modernizing MCC’s enterprise IT infrastructure. This position partners closely with the Director of Infrastructure Operations to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of network, server, and telecommunications systems while driving continuous improvement and innovation.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of enterprise infrastructure, including network, server, and telecommunications systems
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of IT services across the organization
  • Define and implement infrastructure solutions across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments
  • Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives and adoption of emerging technologies
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and resource requirements for IT initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST, CISA) and support audit readiness
  • Manage IT vendors and contracts, ensuring performance and alignment with organizational goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver scalable, secure solutions
  • Provide technical guidance on system architecture, integration, and infrastructure strategy
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, network operations, or systems engineering
  • Strong expertise in enterprise networking, server infrastructure, and cloud technologies
  • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA)
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendors, contracts, and cross-functional IT initiatives
  • Proven ability to lead projects, manage priorities, and drive results in complex environments
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Work Environment
  • Office-based with potential hybrid flexibility
  • Occasional domestic or international travel may be required
