Job Description:

The Associate Director of the Military Connections reports to the Associate Dean of Students and Director of CORE. As a part of CORE, the Military Connection Center provides leadership, coordination, and direct support for programs, services, and initiatives that enhance the

success, sense of belonging, and overall experience of military-connected students. This role serves as a primary point of contact and advocate for students who are active-duty service members, veterans, spouses, and dependents. The Associate Director uses data-driven

practices, strong relationship building, and student-centered approaches to deliver high-impact programming, support institutional policy development, and foster collaborative partnerships across campus and in the community.

Minimum Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to develop and promote educational programs, initiatives, and activities addressing the unique and diverse need of military and veteran students. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with various constituents in higher education and the community to develop or advance student success initiatives. Ability to manage staff, build teams, work with diverse populations, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organization and decision- making skills, and proficient computer literacy.

Master"s degree in higher education, counseling, social work, psychology, or related field; or a Bachelor"s degree in higher education, counseling, social work, psychology or related field with related experience equivalent to a Master"s degree.

Considerable experience in student support or otherwise working in student affairs administration. Considerable experience in planning, organizing, and implementing programs and services for veteran and active-duty military students. Strong experience in program management, marketing, and conducting presentations.
