As part of the team, the Distribution Clerk is responsible for the distribution and maintenance of medical supplies and equipment to point-of-care locations throughout the campus independently or with indirect supervision. Using automated systems as tools, performs physical inventories on regular intervals, replenishes and rotates stock, facilitates complete capture of patient account charges, adjusts supply par levels as appropriate in concert with supervisor and manager, and keeps point of care supply areas organized. Makes recommendations for improvement. Responsible for maintaining the efficient functioning of the central supply and equipment inventories and responds to customer supply orders for special items throughout the shift. Acts as resource for less experienced staff.

Receives, verifies, and delivers packages across the entire site in accordance with departmental guidelines and established procedures, ensuring timely and accurate distribution to designated locations. Supports clinical readiness by preparing, restocking, and maintaining code carts and critical equipment throughout assigned units, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and readiness for patient care needs. Monitors equipment and supply availability escalates issues as appropriate, and coordinates with leadership to resolve shortages or discrepancies. Maintains documentation and tracking related to deliveries, equipment readiness, and restocking activities while contributing to a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 year Distribution/warehouse experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some community college.
  • Meditech or other Materials Management Information System computer experience.

The successful candidate''s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
