Summary
Accurately compose, compile, assimilate and maintain the care, custody, and control of District Court records. Monitor and prioritize work flow to ensure that all work is processed in a timely manner. Attend Court sessions and act as a liaison between the Court and other County departments, law enforcement agencies, attorneys, and the general public as directed by District Clerk policy and management. Determine and assure proper procedures are followed as they affect the tasks required of the position.
These jobs duties and responsibilities are to reflect all sections of the District Clerks Office including Civil, Criminal, and Family. It is not required to know or learn the duties of all sections but rather those applicable to an assigned section.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements
Associates degree AND a minimum of one (1) full time year experience in a related field is required. -OR-
High School Diploma or GED AND a minimum of three (3) full time years experience in a related field is required.
Knowledge of personal computers and word processing is preferred.
Must take and pass a 35-wpm typing test.
Must pass criminal background check and comply with all administrative requirements of the District Clerk.
This position MAY require you to lift, push, and pull boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.

Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudication in the past seven years and may include credit reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, walk, stoop, stand, carry, lift, reach, pull and push.
