Associate Ductwork Installation SuperintendentLocation: Memphis, TN Pay Range: $39-$44 per hour, based on experience Schedule: 40+ hours per week; overtime may be required Mechanical Systems Company is looking for an experienced Deputy Ductwork Riding Foreman to provide hands-on leadership for commercial and industrial HVAC sheet metal projects throughout the Memphis area. This position is ideal for a seasoned sheet metal professional who can lead crews, coordinate work across active jobsites, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently. Role OverviewThe Deputy Ductwork Riding Foreman provides field leadership across multiple projects, overseeing sheet metal installation crews, organizing manpower and materials, monitoring workmanship, and working closely with project leadership to keep jobs on track from planning through completion. What We're Looking ForAt least ten years of ductwork or commercial HVAC sheet metal installation experiencePrevious experience leading or supervising sheet metal crews in the fieldStrong background in commercial and/or industrial constructionAbility to read and work from mechanical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and construction documentsWorking knowledge of sheet metal installation practices, equipment, tools, and applicable codesExperience planning crew assignments and coordinating manpower across changing project needsStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage several jobs, priorities, and deadlines simultaneouslyValid driver's license and an insurable driving recordBasic proficiency with Word, Excel, and OutlookProcore or similar construction management software experience is a plus Physical & Jobsite RequirementsThis active field position requires safely navigating commercial and industrial construction sites, performing various physical activities, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally, and working in changing weather, temperatures, heights, noise, and other typical jobsite conditions. You'll Be Successful in This Role If YouTake ownership of jobsites, lead productive crews, communicate effectively with field and office teams, anticipate and resolve challenges, develop team members, and deliver safe, high-quality projects on time and within budget. What We OfferVarious health and prescription plan options to choose fromVision and dental coverage401K retirement program with company matchEmployer-covered life insuranceEmployer-covered short-term disability insuranceOptional long-term disability coverageCompany vehicle to take homeFuel cardEmployer-provided cell phonePaid vacation, sick time, and holidaysTool programEmployee referral incentivesFitness gym membership allowance What You'll DoLead sheet metal mechanics and apprentices working on commercial and industrial projectsTravel between assigned jobsites to oversee field activities and crew performanceSet daily priorities and organize manpower based on project schedules and workloadReview drawings, specifications, blueprints, and other construction documents before and during installationVerify ductwork and sheet metal installations meet project requirements and quality expectationsMaintain a safe working environment and address jobsite safety concerns as they ariseCoordinate material, equipment, and tool needs to minimize delays and keep crews productiveWork with project managers and other field leaders to resolve installation and scheduling issuesTrack job progress and communicate field conditions, manpower needs, and potential challengesCoordinate with fabrication teams to ensure materials are available when neededOversee and evaluate work performed by assigned crews and subcontractorsComplete required field documentation and provide accurate job updatesCoach mechanics and apprentices while reinforcing proper installation methods and company expectationsIdentify opportunities to improve productivity without compromising safety or workmanshipBuild positive working relationships with customers, contractors, and other trades on the jobsite Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment.
