Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Editor to join our team. The Associate Editor will be responsible for supporting the editorial team in creating and editing content for our company's website, social media platforms, and other marketing materials. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the editorial team to develop and execute content strategies that align with the company's goals and brand identity
- Write, edit, and proofread content for various platforms, including website, social media, newsletters, and marketing materials
- Conduct research and interviews to gather information for articles and other content pieces
- Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and adheres to the company's style and tone
- Manage and maintain the company's social media presence, including scheduling posts and engaging with followers
- Assist with the development and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to inform content creation and strategy
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure content is aligned with overall company messaging and goals
- Monitor and analyze website and social media analytics to track the success of content and make recommendations for improvement
- Other duties as assigned by the editorial team or management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or home services industry
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong understanding of AP Style and SEO best practices
- Experience with social media management and content creation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems and terminology is a plus
