MedVet is seeking a Hospitalist to join our Salt Lake City, UT hospital. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with strong communication skills and a proven ability to build relationships with colleagues, clients, and the referral community. In addition to 24/7 Emergency services, MedVet Salt Lake City offers specialty services in Cardiology, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Radiology, and Surgery.
We opened our beautiful, new 24,000-square-foot facility in 2020 and provide all the equipment and technology you need to give exceptional patient care. We added a Radiation Oncology department, including a Varian TrueBeam® linear accelerator.
You'll also have support from our highly skilled team of veterinary professionals that includes some of the most talented, compassionate, and experienced doctors in Utah.
Responsibilities include:
Seeing same-day transfers from referring partners.
Overseeing inpatients across the hospital
Updating clients and referral partners on patient status.
Supporting the ER and surgery with procedures, patient recoveries, records and communication both to clients and referral partners if needed.
Working with the hospital leadership team to improve workflow and standard operating procedures.
Contributing to the ongoing training of clinical team members.
Acting as a referral partner liaison to strengthen our relationships within the community
